The SHT-12 MF multifunction hand-held transmitter may control up to 18 functions. It is compatible with all modules and receivers of the SH-12 radio series. Each function can be individually defined and shown on the display. The multiple setting options allow the use of additional functions, such as addressing. With its special housing, including profile seal and keyboard film, it is also ideally suited for use in harsh or humid environments.
Individual definition of a function:
Up to 18 functions can be defined with the SHT-12 MF. A function defines the behaviour of a particular key and describes the following properties:
Display
The SHT-12 MF has different display views. In the function view, the function keys of the transmitter are represented on the display by up to 3 symbols. The function keys correspond to the upper 6 keys. The display shows the user which function is activated with the key (see product pictures). All numbers, letters and some selected symbols are available for selection. If, for example, a key is used to raise something, the display can be set to "UP↑".
Sending data
The setting of the send data can be used to determine which command is sent when the key is pressed or released. For example, one key can be used to set whether channel 1 or channel 3 of the receiver - or both.
Fixed address
A fixed address can be set for each key. The address defines the identity of the sender. In this way, the same transmitter can be learned at different receivers with different addresses. For example, two 1-channel receivers react to the same command. However, if two addresses are used, the receiver channels can be controlled individually. Only the receiver into which the corresponding address was learned will react.
Addressing:In addition to the fixed addressing, which can be set for each function, the SHT-12 MF also has a general addressing function. It can be set whether this addressing is deactivated, 1-, 2- or 3-digit. Thus up to 1000 receivers can be controlled separately. With general addressing, the display does not initially show the function view, but the address input view. After the address has been entered, one of the 18 functions can be triggered. Only the receiver into which the previously entered address was learned reacts.
One application of this function is, for example, the control of lights. Each light receives a number. This number corresponds to the address. With the SHT-12 MF, first the number of the light has to be entered in order to control a function on the light selected. In this way, a large number of functions may be controlled individually on each light. In this application, one of hundreds of lights can be raised, lowered, switched on, switched off, brightened or darkened with one single hand-held transmitter.
Setting menu:
In addition to the definition of functions and addressing, the multifunction transmitter offers a range of other setting options and functions that can be set via the menu.
- key lock [1-4-digit code]
- Different views of the function view and the acknowledgement view [standard / extended]
- Acknowledgement [on / off]
- Frequency [F1 / F2]
- Language [German / English]
- Wake up sequence for waking up reliably receivers in standby mode
- Secure mode for safe transmission [on / off]
Other features:
The display provides all necessary information for the current view. The multi-coloured LED and a beeper provide information about the menu navigation and the transmission behaviour.
With the profile seal and a special keyboard film, the hand-held transmitter (IP65) is well protected against mechanical impact and moisture and can be used in harsh and damp environments.
The hand-held transmitters in the SH-12 wireless series have extremely low interference because of their special transmission properties. With wireless transmission that is immune to interference and offers extremely short response times, ranges over 1000 m can be achieved. For strong, narrow-band interference or use of several parallel wireless systems, the working frequency can be set to meet individual needs. The transmitters serial number is factory presettet. This provides greater security and turns every transmitter into a unique device that can be distinguished easily.
We will be happy to advise you on the selection of appropriate receivers.
